"The quiet courage and determination of CF families inspires me; it is for these families that we work day in and day out."
The Boomer Esiason Foundation’s staff is comprised of individuals with expertise in cystic fibrosis and program development, event planning and fundraising, marketing and communications, and management. The Board of Directors includes leaders in the business community who generously give of their time and resources in support of BEF’s critical mission. These dedicated people may come from all walks for life, but they all agree on one thing: they’ll do whatever it takes to beat cystic fibrosis.

Sure, we have raised millions of dollars to help find a cure for cystic fibrosis. But our mission isn't all about fundraising; it's also about supporting the CF community. To that end, we have developed a variety of programs to help people with CF live, breathe and succeed ... despite the disease.

Managing Partner Tandem Global Partners

Joe Petri is Managing Partner at Tandem Global Partners, a multi-strategy asset management company. He and his partners, Kevin Murphy and Jim Tammaro, founded the family of funds in 2007. Joe is the former Head of Global Markets for the Americas at HSBC Bank. Prior to joining HSBC in 2000, Joe spent 14 years in management at Merrill Lynch. Joe started his career as a litigation attorney at Bigham, Englar, Jones & Houston, a major Wall Street law firm. He was introduced to the Boomer Esiason Foundation by HSBC’s Brian Collins. Together, Joe and Brian worked to find space for the Foundation in the wake of the September 11 tragedy. HSBC provided offices for BEF in New York City for six years and was responsible for all overhead costs. Thanks to HSBC’s generosity, the Foundation at that time was able to put more than 94 cents of every dollar raised toward the fight against cystic fibrosis and programs benefiting the CF community.
