Michaela Seccareccia
Event Program Director
BEF welcomed Michaela Seccareccia in 2007. Michaela organizes and executes all Foundation events. She also heads the Team Boomer athletic program, which includes managing the more than 100 runners who participate in the ING NYC Marathon on behalf of BEF. In 2008, Michaela founded the BEF Young Professionals Committee, which hosts semi-annual events to benefit the cystic fibrosis community and to support the efforts of the BEF Board of Directors. Prior to joining BEF, Michaela spent two-and-a-half years working at CBS Sports, where she began as an Intern in the press department before becoming an Advertising Sales Assistant. She also was the Coordinator of Business Affairs. Michaela was introduced to the Foundation by Boomer, whom she met during the 2007 CBS Sports NFL Seminar. Originally from Suffield, Conn., Michaela graduated from Iona College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications. She played defender for four years on the varsity soccer team and was captain her senior year. She lives in New York City.
