The Boomer Esiason Foundation undertakes “cause marketing” ventures that are win-win opportunities for the organization and its corporate supporters. Under cause marketing programs, a corporation receives tangible benefits – such as a marked increase in sales – from tying its marketing strategy to the fundraising needs of a charitable cause. The Foundation thanks the following companies for their support.
Cincinnati Bell
Cincinnati Bell
Program a Win-Win for Hospital Staff and BEF
Cincinnati Bell sponsors two cause marketing programs that benefit BEF. Under
its affinity program, Cincinnati Bell donates to BEF every time a Cincinnati
Children's Hospital Medical Center employee buys a product. The Foundation
also receives $35 when a hospital employee signs up for "Complete Connections"
residential service and $55 for every activation with Cincinnati Bell
Wireless.
A separate program calls
for Cincinnati Bell to donate $2 to BEF for each new wireless activation and
$1 for each new pre-paid activation. Cincinnati Bell’s long distance service,
Any Distance, also joined the cause and contributes $1 to BEF for each new
subscriber. Special thanks to BEF Board Member Jack Cassidy, President and CEO
of Cincinnati Bell, for his ongoing support with these programs and other
activities.

Gunnar, was diagnosed with the disease.

co-founder of the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals, approached Esiason with the idea
of lending his name to an award winning BBQ Sauce that was being offered by
the Texas Outlaws on the National BBQ Competition Circuit.

Jiffy Lube Programs
Steers Support Toward BEF
Separate cause
marketing programs sponsored by Jiffy Lube franchises in Utah and in the New
York area are benefiting drivers and the Boomer Esiason Foundation.
Under the Utah program,
organized by BEF Board Member Mike Norseth, drivers were encouraged to visit
one of 59 Jiffy Lube locations in the state and purchase a $5 coupon book
filled with discounts for Jiffy Lube services. The program raised $125,000 for
the Foundation in its first year.
A similar program is
running at Jiffy Lube franchises in the New York area through the first
quarter of 2007. Both consumers and Jiffy Lube employees are responding well
to the promotion, which is being heavily advertised in a variety of media
outlets.
Johnsonville Sausage

Johnsonville Tailgating
Program Heats Up Support for BEF
Tailgaters who
celebrate football season were able to receive great grilling tips for the
perfect tailgate gathering, thanks to a cause marketing program sponsored by
Johnsonville Sausage Co.
Each week during his
Monday Night Football broadcast on CBS/Westwood One Radio, Boomer shared a new
tip for tailgating. In a new twist to the program, this year Johnsonville
inducted 16 NFL coaches into the Johnsonville Bratwurst Tailgating Hall of
Fame. Football fans logged onto
www.johnsonville.com and voted for the coach who made the best "game-time
decision" during the prior week's games.
During the 2006 season,
Johnsonville donated $5,000 to BEF on behalf of each inducted coach. Thanks to
the efforts of BEF Board Member Ralph Stayer, Johnsonville has contributed
more than $500,000 to the Foundation to date.

Logitech's 'Beat Boomer'
Contest Sends Winner to Pro Bowl
This year's grand prize
winner of the popular "Beat Boomer" contest, sponsored by Logitech, will enjoy
a trip for two to the 2007 Pro Bowl in Hawaii.
In the contest, football
fans log onto
www.logitechfootball.com to place weekly football picks. Fans whose picks
beat Boomer's are eligible each week to win a football autographed by Boomer
and a variety of Logitech products. With retail supporters led by Best Buy,
Logitech also donated a portion of the proceeds to BEF from every Logitech
Harmony Remote sold during this program.
Thanks to BEF Board
Member Collette Bunton for her help in putting together this popular and
successful contest.
MOBILE EDGE

Mobile Edge 'G-Pak'
Designed to Support BEF
Under a cause marketing
program with Mobile Edge, maker of computer related carrying cases, the Boomer
Esiason Foundation will receive 10 percent of the retail sales of a new laptop
backpack. The G-Pak, named for Gunnar Esiason, is made of durable ballistic
nylon and includes a computer compartment said to provide "superior"
protection for laptops. The custom-designed bag also sports a convenient media
pocket and other compartments. It retails for $69.99. Mobile Edge also plans
to offer a Boomer Esiason Foundation deluxe backpack as well as a business
tote designed specifically for women. Thanks to Mobile Edge President David
Cartwright and Director of Sales Chuck Gangi for putting together this
program. Special thanks to Steve Routman of Target Marketing for introducing
BEF to Mobile Edge.
Pastries Plus

Pastries Plus Creates a Sweet Deal
Under a cause marketing
program with Pastries Plus in Salt Lake City, Utah, the Foundation helps this
baked goods company develop retail relationships and promotions that increase
sales. BEF then receives proceeds for each new retail account that signs up
with Pastries Plus. BEF Board Member Mike Norseth brought brothers Kyle and
Sean Kafentzis of Pastries Plus to the table to put together this sweet deal.

Four Seasons of Hope
Program a Success Year After Year
The innovative
Four Seasons of Hope program, sponsored by Samsung Electronics America in
conjunction with retail partner Sears, is a perennial success story among the
Foundation's cause marketing programs. This year, Samsung made a donation to
the Foundation for each Samsung television purchased at Sears during a
month-long fall promotion.
Four Seasons of Hope is
dedicated to raising awareness and funds for several high-profile charities
through national retail promotions. The program hosts an annual gala to
recognize efforts of each organization.
Special thanks to

TNCI

TNCI Offers Telecom
Program to Foundation Supporters
TNCI, a national
telecommunications reseller of quality voice and data solutions, has launched
a cause marketing program to support the Foundation's fight against cystic
fibrosis.
Under the program, TNCI
will donate 10 percent of the monthly telecommunications charges of any
Foundation cause marketing partner or Foundation sponsor when they become a
TNCI customer. That means that a portion of the money you already spend on
telephone and internet services, audio, video or web conferencing, calling
cards and more can now benefit the Foundation.
Thanks to Sean Fuller,
TNCI Affinity Manager, for his support of the BEF mission.
