ING New York City Marathon 2009

11/01/2009

Team Boomer runners were there at the beginning. Team Boomer runners were there in the middle. And they were there near the end.

At the 2009 ING New York City Marathon on November 1, Team Boomer runners kept on coming for almost six hours, bringing awareness about cystic fibrosis and raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Boomer Esiason Foundation and the CF community.

Team Boomer brought 102 runners to the marathon, and every one of them completed the 26.2-mile, five-borough course on a cool, cloudy day. The runners in navy and white Team Boomer singlets and shorts (donated by UnderArmour®) drew cheers and shouts of encouragement from the estimated 2 million people who lined the streets.
