Team Boomer Issues Last Call for Guaranteed Spots in the 2011 ING NYC Marathon

The Boomer Esiason Foundation has only a handful of guaranteed entries left for the 2011 ING New York City Marathon. Athletes interested in running for a cause should contact Team Boomer as soon as possible to secure their registration.

This is the third year in a row that the Boomer Esiason Foundation is an official charity partner of the marathon, which means it provides guaranteed entries to runners who pledge to raise funds for the Foundation. The more than 120 runners who will participate on behalf of BEF will receive fundraising guidance as well as extensive pre-race and race day support.

If you are interested in running the ING NYC Marathon for Team Boomer, please contact Michaela Seccareccia at 646.292.7942 or mseccareccia@esiason.org.

APPLICATION AND FUNDRAISING INFORMATION

A limited number of guaranteed entries are available for this event. To be considered for an entry, each runner must commit to make a donation or raise funds totaling $3,000 or more to the Boomer Esiason Foundation. BEF was established in 1993 as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and your tax-deductible donations help fund research for a cure, as well as our Exercise for Life Scholarship to improve the quality of life for individuals with CF.

Fundraising Commitment

A $3,000 minimum fundraising donation is required to secure your guaranteed entry into the 2011 ING NYC Marathon.

Your credit card information is required as a guarantee against the pledge. The Boomer Esiason Foundation reserves the right to charge the balance to the credit card we have on file if the $3,000 is not raised by 11:59 pm EST on October 31, 2011.

Cancellation Policy

Once you accept an entry into the ING NYC Marathon from Team Boomer, you are subject to cancellation fees and/or fundraising commitments as follows:

  • A minimum of $3,000 must be raised and collected by BEF by October 31, 2011.
  • A dedication deposit of $1,500 is due by September 9, 2011.
  • After September 30, 2011, you are responsible for the $3,000, even if you cancel for any reason, including injury.

Note: Donations raised and received by the Boomer Esiason Foundation cannot be refunded, regardless of cancellation date.
