David B. Rimington
President
Dave Rimington has served with the Boomer Esiason Foundation since 1993 and has been President since 1995. Dave and Boomer played football together for the Cincinnati Bengals. Before joining the Boomer Esiason Foundation as President, Dave lived and worked in Hong Kong in the Import-Export business. He also was a graduate assistant football coach at the University of Wisconsin, helping them win the Big 10 Championship and their first Rose Bowl ever. In 1992 he received a master's degree in international business. While at Wisconsin, Dave was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma National Honorary Business Fraternity.
Dave was a first round draft choice for the Bengals in 1983 and was their
starting center from 1983 to 1988. He was the NFL All Rookie Team Center in
1983, and he received the NFL Edward Block Courage Award in 1986. He later
played for the Philadelphia Eagles (1988 and 1989).
Dave received a bachelor of business administration degree in economics from the University of Nebraska. He was awarded many honors while in college, including: the Outland Trophy in 1981 and 1982 -- the only player in college football history to win this award twice; the Lombardi Trophy, 1982; All-American Center, 1981, 1982; N.C.A.A. Top Ten Student-Athletes, 1982; and N.C.A.A. Post Graduate Scholarship, 1982. In 1997, Dave was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
In 2004, Dave was inducted into Co-SIDA's Academic All America
Hall of Fame. Dave and his wife Lisa and their three children reside in New York City.
Lee Becker
Marketing/Education Director
Lee, who heads up development and marketing, helped launch the
foundation in 1993, Beginning in 1997, he commuted to New York from his home
in the Washington, D.C. area until moving to New Jersey in 2002 with his
family - his wife Debbie, and his children, Emily and Jack. Lee, a BEF Board member, manages fundraising and development,
focusing on cultivating and maintaining relationships with corporate
supporters. Prior to joining the Foundation, Lee owned a printing and graphics
company in Washington. He met Boomer at the University of Maryland,
where he graduated with a degree in Marketing.
Tami Amaker
Special Projects Director
Originally from the Washington, D.C., area, Tami has been an integral part of
BEF since 1990. Prior to joining Boomer, Tami worked for ProServ in Washington, D.C., and was part of the Volvo Tennis Event Program.
Tami graduated from the University of Maryland in 1986 with degrees in public relations and journalism and a minor in African-American studies. Tami resides in New York City.
Etsuko Murase
Finance/Operation Manager
Etsuko Murase
has been with the Foundation since 2003. As the Finance/Operations manager,
she oversees the day-to-day finances of the Foundation, as well as all
accounts receivables and payables. She works closely with the accounting firm
in Bethesda to put together complete and accurate financial information. She
also manages the finances for Empire Challenge, Inc. Prior to joining the
Foundation, Etsuko worked in the retail industry for 10 years. She previously
managed the flagship store for the luxury leather goods company, Ghurka.
Etsuko holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University.
She resides
on Long Island with her husband, Ari.
Mike
Buscemi
Events/Operations Manager
Mike Buscemi joined the Foundation in 2001 as an intern during his senior
year at St. Johns University. Upon graduating with a degree in sports
management and a minor in business, Michael began working full time for the
Foundation. He has assisted in creating Boomer's own web site,
www.boomeresiason.com and was instrumental in redesigning the Outback
Steakhouse Empire Challenge web site as well, www.empirechallenge.com.
Michael also plays a vital role as event coordinator with the planning of
the Outback Steakhouse Empire Challenge each July. Tasks include organizing
coaches, players, and trainers months before game day, and serving as the
editor/designer of the Empire Challenge’s game day program. Michael has also
taken on BEF’s 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament as event manager, in addition to
overseeing all interns and their job tasks in the Foundation’s Long Island
office. Michael is responsible for ordering BEF merchandise, sponsor related
merchandise, and any event uniforms.
Natalie Wainwright
Events Manager
Natalie Wainwright joined the Foundation in September 2004. Natalie assists
Lee Becker with daily duties and is responsible for the BEF Newsletter and all
BEF staff communications. She helps manage outside BEF events and acts as the
liaison for the BEF Board of Directors. Prior to joining the Foundation,
Natalie interned with the New York Jets. She met Boomer and Lee while
volunteering for the Empire Challenge on behalf of the Jets organization.
Natalie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with an emphasis in
public relations and a minor in business management from Marshall University
in May 2004. She is from Bridgeport, WV. Natalie works from a satellite office
in Overland Park, KS, where she and her husband, Nate, reside.
Michaela
Seccareccia
Executive Assistant to the Chairman
Michaela Seccareccia joined the Foundation as the Executive Assistant to the
Chairman. She assists Boomer with his schedule while helping coordinate
Foundation events.
She spent the last two-and-a-half years working at CBS Sports where she began
as an intern in the press department before becoming an advertising sales
assistant. She was the coordinator of business affairs for the past year.
Michaela was introduced to the Foundation by Boomer, whom she met during the
2007 CBS Sports NFL Seminar. Originally from Suffield, CT, Michaela graduated
from Iona College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications.
She played defender for four years on the varsity soccer team and was captain
her senior year. She resides in New York City.
Seth Gonzales
Social Media Coordinator
Seth Gonzales helps coordinate all social media ventures produced at the
Foundation.
He previously worked as a project coordinator for the Dallas-based Triton
Sports Management where he helped manage media relations for the firm's
clients, such as the Rimington Trophy and the Heisman Winners Association. He
also spent time as a sponsorship services intern at the Major League Soccer
franchise, FC Dallas.
He was introduced to the Foundation by BEF President Dave Rimington, whom he
met through his work with the Rimington Trophy. Originally from Dallas, TX,
Seth graduated from the University of Dallas in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts
degree in English. He obtained his MBA in Sports and Entertainment Management
from UD in 2007. Seth resides in Jackson Heights, N.Y.
Rich
Hahn
Project Manager
Rich Hahn recently joined the Foundation as Project Manager. He assists Mike
Buscemi with the coordination of the Outback Steakhouse Empire Challenge and
other BEF events.
Rich previously worked in the automotive accessory business where he met
Boomer and began serving on the Foundation's Business Advisory Committee.
Rich lives on Long Island and works out of the Garden City Park, N.Y.
office.
Sean
Sultanik
Project Manager
Originally from Chappaqua, NY, Sean has been involved with the Foundation
since interning in the summer of 2006. He was responsible for assisting
with The Empire Challenge, reviewing BEF scholarships and helped coordinate
the Foundation's opening of the NASDAQ market. Prior to joining the
Foundation, Sean attended Indiana University, where he graduated with a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, and minors in both Business and
Spanish. He was also a member of the men’s tennis team at the school. Sean
now resides in New York City.
