Fully Fund New York State’s Adult
Cystic Fibrosis Assistance Program
ATTENTION ALL NEW YORKERS: Funding for New York State’s Adult Cystic Fibrosis Assistance Program (ACFAP) is not included in the current New York State budget for SFY 2026-2027.
This program provides copay assistance for medical care related to CF, including prescription drug and device costs, and medical and behavioral health services, and insurance premium assistance to include medical, vision, and dental premiums.
Contact your elected officials to include full funding for the New York State’s Adult Cystic Fibrosis Assistance Program (ACFAP) in the 2026-2027 budget. You can find your state Assemblymember here and your state Senator here.
Support the HELP Copays Act! In December 2025, the Help Ensure Lower Patient (HELP) Copays Act was reintroduced in the House of Representatives and the Senate. The HELP Copays Act is a bipartisan bill that would ensure that all copay assistance goes toward meaningfully lowering out-of-pocket costs for patients who rely on brand-name medications without generic alternatives.
Contact your Senators to encourage their support of the HELP Copays Act!
People with CF often need to be treated with antibiotics regularly from a young age to fight off infections in the thick, sticky mucus in their lungs, so they are at an elevated risk of their infections becoming more and more resistant to drugs over time. The PASTEUR Act is a proposed bill that supports investment in new treatments for antimicrobial resistant infections.
