CF Family Day: Charleston, S.C.

Each year, the Boomer Esiason Foundation hosts a series of CF Family Days across the country to provide awareness, education and support for families dealing with cystic fibrosis.

The free 90-minute programs, made possible by a grant to BEF from Eurand, feature Boomer speaking about his experiences as a CF parent.

Date: Thursday, March 31, 2011

Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (includes dinner)

The Charleston CF Family Day is co-hosted by Patrick Flume, M.D., Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center at Medical University of South Carolina. The South Carolina Aquarium will stay open until 10 p.m. to allow participants the opportunity to view the exhibits while the building is closed to the general public.

Note: The CF Family Day is a medical and educational forum designed for attendance exclusively by parents, family members and CF care team members. In our ongoing efforts to safeguard people with CF from the known risk of person-to-person transmission of resistant organisms, we ask that individuals with CF not attend this event. In addition, CF Family Day discussions are mature in nature and are not appropriate for young children.
