Boomer and Carton Host Special Guests at BGC Charity Day Broadcast

Boomer and Carton with Jeans Cruz

Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton took their drive-time sports talk radio show to downtown Manhattan this morning, broadcasting from inter-dealer broker BGC Partners, Inc.

The live show celebrated BGC’s annual Charity Trading Day, which each year raises millions of dollars for charities around the world. The Foundation was one of the beneficiaries of the event, which is held annually to commemorate those lost in the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks.

Boomer and Carton invited several special guests to join them during the show this morning, including:

  • Army soldier Jeans Cruz (top left), one of the men who played an instrumental role in the capture of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein. Boomer and Carton presented Cruz with an American flag flown at a fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project.
  • Former NBC sports anchor Len Berman (top right), who talked football before accepting a check from Boomer and Carton on behalf of the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
  • New York City Fire Commissioner Sal Cassano (bottom left), who reflected on the events of 9/11.

Boomer and Carton also chatted off-air with some of the veterans helped by the Wounded Warrior Project (bottom right).
